As FXFilms continues to expand, we thought it was about time to do our own branding makeover.

Expect to see a newly designed site and some other exciting additions and competitions too … watch this space, as they say.

I couldn’t go without the promise of mentioning the rather talented Charles Burns, from Kay and Scott’s wedding on Saturday (Barn at Bury Court, Farnham). We gave the reputable silhouette artist the challenge of reproducing our portraits back to back while we held our camera equipment!

It’s obvious from the results that we didn’t challenge him enough - they’re spot on!

We at FXFilms spend many hours in post-production ensuring each and every wedding edit is creative and unique. VisualBride is now a website most of you will have no doubt stumbled across on your web searches for wedding videographers.  I can only say I’m jealous of Simeon, the company’s founder, who’s created such a unique way for wedding couples to browse 100’s of demos in just a few clicks.

Anyway, we at FX Films have been interviewed for a feature on their homepage, how exciting!

Admittedly this was a fun little side project for a friend, so no worries about copyright issues then!  The assignment was to change all the wording, remove the unwanted 3rd guy, and put new faces in!  Well hey, why not add some extra magic fairy dust too…

We thought we’d share the exciting news that we are now PinkWeddings approved, and officially their videographers, and possibly even filming the Gay Wedding Show 2008 - (the UK’s annual and official gay and lesbian wedding show - Brighton Nov 16th). We’re sure the final edit of this would be as informative and fun as the show itself!

We are now officially filming and editing in full High-Definition.

So, what does this mean for you? It means you can potentially come back to us in the future, when you have a Blu-Ray player and have your wedding edit re-produced in full HD glory. If you’ve ever watched HD on a 40″+ HD TV, you’ll know how amazing this prospect is!

FX Films were lucky enough to be selected from hundreds (321 to be exact!) wedding videographers around the globe, to assist in filming the first official Space Wedding! We were flown to the Kennedy Space Centre, where we boarded, and launched from the low-orbiting Shuttle AFJ01-04 at 0800 hours.

After a 20 minute undescribable experience of weightlessness, gravity was returned to ‘normal’, and a 15 minute ceremony took place. I’m hoping to have some footage of the ceremony, and of the unforgettable views, uploaded on to the blog very soon…..watch this space
