Always trying to keep on top of technology, we can now confirm that your highlights clips will be available (in the highest possible quality) for the iPad, should you be lucky enough to own one already! (both FX Films and Lime Leaf Weddings, our partner photographer team, have one and we love them!)
(and yes, your clip is still available for your iPhone, iPod and iTouch too! see previous blog entry here)
FX Films - the Cinematic Wedding Showreel 2010
* iPhone/iPod/iPad version free to download, simply request by email or blog comment
We’ve had such an amazing time over the last 4 years, filming such wonderful couples during one of the most special days of their entire lives.
To sum up all the emotion and fun from all the weddings we’ve covered has been a much harder task that I could ever imagine. Infact I completely underestimated just how painstakingly difficult the choices would be to select shots and sections for the showreel.
But after a few intense archive-retrieving and editing sessions, I can now tell you that I am very pleased with just how much I squeezed into this piece, yet still showing our signature style and techniques.
So without further ado, FX Films proudly presents our Cinematic Wedding Showreel.
Richard, Creative Director
p.s. A huge THANKYOU to all the couples we’ve met and filmed and are now the showreel stars! Couldn’t have done it without you
So what exactly is it you can receive from FX Films, once your special wedding film has been carefully edited and produced?
The answer is: well, quite a bit actually!
We supply Blu-Rays, Gold laser-etched DVDs, personalised covers, Deluxe Cases with personalised inserts … oh, and don’t forget your very own online highlights clip too!
As an extension of a previous blog post, we have decided to post some more photos from our new camera equipment (they take both stills and full-HD video).
We have a very keen interest in photography, which probably explains our close relationship with Lime Leaf Weddings.
So without further ado, here are some photos we’ve taken in the last couple of weeks (some more can be found here):
Providing you, our clients, with cinematic wedding films involves investment in some pretty amazing gear.
And in the last few months, we’ve taken very wise steps to include a brand new camera, lenses, and accessories. The Canon 7D gives a filmic look that we know you will love. And to hold the 7D body and lens, we have a fantastic Crumpler Jimmy Bo 400 bag. It’s modern, funky, and cool. As is the Crumpler B.B.Pouch, which simply attaches to my belt, and gives me easy access to spare batteries, cards, filters.
These two short corporate clips I filmed earlier in the week proved I was able to keep my filming baggage to a minimum (travelling abroad, and a packed party) whilst still being able to deliver instant filmic results.
We’re rather excited to tell you that our excellent partner photography team, Lime Leaf Weddings, are also offering 1-to-1 training to assist other photographers, or wannabe-photographers.
Like us with our own training, it is bespoke and paced to suit the individual/s. Covering many areas, and from basic to advanced level:
You’ve watched the film, you’ve viewed the photos… but what else could complement your wedding day memories?
A Simplicity Wedding Poster of course! ‘Simplicity‘ = Cinematography + Photography
Our partner photography team, Lime Leaf Weddings, will hand us your chosen high-resolution photo, and we at FX Films will do the designing and professional printing required to turn it into a double-coated matt paper poster, in whichever size you can handle! (A3, A2, A1). Contact us for prices.
Anyone who’s ever met us at a wedding knows we have absolute respect for all photographers. For a start, we’ve all been chosen by the same wedding couple, and also we just love photography in general! Hence our great working relationship with Lime Leaf Weddings.
I love my new Canon 7D dSLR camera. I’ve even found I can use my knowledge of colour grading from the wedding edits I do, to achieve some nice looks.
I hope my first SLR attempts look ok to you … be nice ok
Just a quick reminder (to fellow videographers and photographers) that I will be giving seminars each day from the 15th-17th January, representing FX Films and Canon at the SWPP Convention 2010, Hammersmith.
Here’s the flyer for it, which might I add, has all it’s photos from our very own partner photography company, Lime Leaf Weddings!
