With our photography partner team, LimeLeafWeddings, we now own a fantastic new piece of equipment, the 5dmarkII. Without getting too technical, it’s a digital SLR camera that enables us to easily shoot films with all sorts of lenses and allowing us to create cinematic short depth of field…all in the crispest high-definition.
Jason and Tina were wed at Eastlands Estate, our 2nd wedding there this month, and we got to try the 5dmk2 out.
Here’s the clip:
Kayleigh contacted us a long time ago, and said she couldn’t imagine us ‘not’ filming her wedding. And we are so glad we did - it was at one of our preferred venues, on a beautiful sunny day, and the emotional bride and groom were an absolute pleasure to work with.
n.b. We also had on board a new camera assistant, Elizabeth, a freelance camera operator for ITV. Elizabeth will be helping us on many future weddings, and joining our forever-growing team of professional filmmakers.
Congratulations Kayleigh and Steve. Oh, and happy birthday for today Kayleigh

Today is the start of a new monthly blog entry where we’ll show 4 recent and random photos from our expert partner photographer company, LimeLeafWeddings.
We love their work (hence the partnership!) and we are sure you will love them too.
This wedding had so many of those nice little touches that really added to the already splendid day.
Highlights that stood out, and which made everyone either laugh or cry, were the surprise operatic singing waiters (Incognito), the photo booth (provided by Simon Kemp, Hyde End Studios), and the mesmerising first dance song rendition from Georgia, the 13 year old bridesmaid.

Simon Alexander and FX Films have seen a pleasantly huge response from the surprise wedding proposal we recently filmed, with over 3000+ worldwide hits on youtube and vimeo.
